Polis Chrysochous is a coastal municipality situated in the north-western part of Cyprus (Pafos district). Polis Chrysochous is one of the oldest municipalities in Cyprus (founded in 1882). The town existed in the antiquity but appears under that name in the late Middle Ages when reference was made to Chrysochou and later, Polis Chrysochou. The town has a population of 3500 and its economy is mainly based on the tourism sector. Polis Chrysochous has a long experience on working on European projects, mainly in the areas of culture, fisheries, environment and lifelong learning. Our municipality is well known as a tourist destination. We are interested in participating in projects on the themes of culture, the environment and citizenship (twinnings).

Points of interest: The Saint Andronicus church, the archaeological museum and many ancient sites.
