The Brussels Office of the Union of Cyprus Municipalities has been set up in mid-July 2005. The UCM was the first Association of the ten countries that entered the European Union in 2004 to open a representation office in Brussels

• Networking activities.
• Representation of the Union of Cyprus Municipalities to events in Brussels.
• EU legislation monitoring.
• Information activities towards our members.
• Cooperation with the CEMR, the CoR and other European organisations and bodies.
• Cooperation with other Brussels-based regional offices and organisations.
• Cooperation with other Brussels-based Cypriot actors.
• Services to Cypriot representatives in Brussels.
• Partner-Search and financing opportunities.

The Brussels office of the Union of Cyprus Municipalities also assures the coordination of the National Delegation of the Republic of Cyprus to the Committee of the Regions.
